Ken Turner

Kenneth P. Turner

Ken Turner is Roving Pianist, a New York-area writer and pianist who blogs about everything piano.

He is living the ongoing story of a man who took up the piano at age 63 and played at Carnegie 8 months later, see Ken Turner plays Bach Prelude No.1 in C Major, BWV 846.

Ken loves to go to piano recitals, and has posted reviews on Roving Pianist of many of those he has attended. This activity is temporarily on hold due to COVID-19.

The reviews are written from a lay perspective. They attempt to capture the personal experience of being present, rather than just critique the performance.

Ken loves to meet pianists, from top-tier professionals to students and amateur musicians like himself. He is particularly supportive of up-and-coming performers, using his blog to give them exposure.

You may reach Ken on social media (Facebook, Instagram) or by email as ken@rovingpianist.com.
